You no longer have to pause between songs with Squirrel Trench’s continuous music tracks for dance class
Due to popular demand, Squirrel Trench Audio has created the first in what will be a series of pre-mixed, continuous music designed specifically for dance class. These 20+ minute audio files are dance-teacher tested and approved. This set of three non-stop music tracks is designed for younger dancers, and are made for teaching jazz/tumbling, tap, and ballet. Put them together in any order, and you’ve got continuous music for an entire class. No more waiting around for the next song to start or having to stop and advance to the next song in your playlist. Get all three, or get only the one(s) that you need.
We all remember what a terrific success Bruno Mars had with Uptown Funk in the fall of 2014. The song was written by Mark Ronson and featured Bruno Mars on vocals. The incredible groove was an instant hit. After extensive touring in 2015, Bruno is about to release a brand new album called 24K Magic.
While the full album is not due out until mid-November, the first song is available NOW. The song’s title is the same as the name of the album, 24K Magic. Unfortunately, there are a few words that are not at all appropriate for use in dance routines with youngsters. And that is where Squirrel Trench Audio is at your service with the very first SQUEAKY CLEAN version that eliminates all of the objectionable content. Words that have been eliminated include “sh*t”, “bad b*tches and yo ugly-ass friends”, “pimp”, and one additional occurrence of “sh*t”.
Squirrel Trench Audio has four squeaky clean versions to choose from. The full-length clean version is 3:42 in length, and additional edits are: 2:48, 2:37, and 2:19.
New to the Legitmix catalog; a mix of six popular hits from Motown called Motown Magic. This 3:00 mix designed for a jazz or tap dance routine includes The Way You Do the Things You Do by the Temptations; Baby, I Need Your Loving from the Four Tops; Stop in the Name of Love by the Supremes; Tears of a Clown by Smokey Robinson & the Miracles; Signed, Sealed, Delivered (I’m Yours) by Stevie Wonder; and I Want You Back by the Jackson 5.
Halsey has a haunting and beautiful song out called Castle. Get the official Squirrel Trench 2:51 or 2:21 edited version, for your next jazz or contemporary routine. Editing has been carefully done to provide the best possible foundation for your choreography. Squirrel Trench Audio is your source for clean edits and remixes created specifically for dance routines.
Due to popular demand, Squirrel Trench Audio is pleased to present a squeaky clean version of the new hit Stand by You by Rachel Platten. All instances of the word ‘hell’ have been replaced with the word ‘fire’. This cleaned song is available in a full-length (3:33) version as well as a 2:24 shortened version. Enjoy!
I am honored to be on the Advisory Panel of YPAD; Leslie Scott’s organization to educate the dance community about the dangers to impressionable young minds when they dance in inappropriate routines. To further that goal, I am pleased to offer the song “Barbie Girl” minus the words “undress me anywhere” and minus other suggestive lyrics that occur in this otherwise fun and bouncy song. And I’m offering it for FREE ($2.28 if you don’t already own both versions used to create this cleaned edit). If your studio is already using this song this season, I will match your existing edit with this squeaky clean version for FREE so that no re-choreo’ing is needed. Don’t let your routine take deductions for inappropriate lyrics. Click the graphic below to take a listen and hear for yourself how great this song can still sound when the suggestive lyrics are removed.
In addition, Squirrel Trench offers three other shorter lengths of this squeaky clean edit at $9.99 each.
A few years ago, I created a custom, 6-minute Wizard of Oz mix for Kimberly Houli’s Dance for Joy studio in New Jersey. This mix includes munchkins, movie dialogue, sound effects, and more. She used it as a grand opening piece for her recital, and you can see a video of it below.
Because it’s been several years since this piece was originally created, Kimberly has agreed to let this soundtrack become available for purchase by other dance studios. Take a listen and see if this is right for your next Wizard of Oz recital or competition production!
